A spacious venue in a stunning setting that’s available for personal hire. From weddings and corporate events through to birthday parties and wakes, this riverside venue has everything you need to create a memorable occasion.
Available between March and October, the Marquee is located on the upper terrace and overlooks the river Stour, creating a beautiful natural backdrop for a charity event, anniversary celebration or cocktail party.
Set in beautiful grounds with views of the Dedham Vale, which has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Marquee is an exceptional space which can seat up to 200 guests and incorporates a dance floor, or up to 240 guests, without a dance floor.

Talbooth House & Spa
Talbooth House & Spa is a 4 AA Red Star hotel looking out across Constable’s Countryside and the Dedham Vale on the North Essex/Suffolk border.
The hotel has 12 individually designed bedrooms, each different in style, decor and character, and is home to a luxurious day spa with heated outdoor pool and hot tub. Dine at nearby Talbooth Restaurant or Milsoms brasserie.
The Pier
The Pier at Harwich is a small 4 AA Star hotel, bar and restaurant with 14 bedrooms individually styled to match the seascape and natural coastal light.
The brasserie is located on the first floor of the completely modernised 1860 listed building in historic Harwich, while the NAVYÄRD on the ground floor is a continental bar and terrace adjacent to the working harbour.
Milsoms Kesgrave Hall
Set in beautiful countryside, Milsoms Kesgrave Hall is a boutique hotel, with a dedicated luxury spa and brasserie restaurant just outside Ipswich.
This charming four star Suffolk hotel has 27 ensuite bedrooms – some with bathtubs in the rooms and fabulous walk-in showers. The majority of the bedrooms are in the main house but if you’re staying with family or bringing your dog with you, do ask about the outside courtyard rooms.
Idle Waters
Idle Waters is our self-catering luxury cottage set beside the River Stour in Essex, in the heart of the Dedham Vale.
The area offers plenty to do and see, such as walking, cycling, canoeing and paddle boarding from the doorstep or riverbank, we can even arrange day or weekly hire. The cottage has two bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen/dining area and superb sitting room with log burner, with a garden right on the River Stour.
